I know people fly to different countries all the time, but this is so new to me...so wild! Of course, I love flying, always have, so I don't think I'll mind the long trip. (I even changed my seat for my trip from Louisville to Atlanta so I could be by a window from an Isle seat).

The hard part, though, is saying goodbye to my family. Again, I know people do it all the time, but we just aren't used to being apart for over a week. I know, though, that God loves them even more than I do, and He is watching over them.

I'm so thankful for so many who are praying for my trip, and have been so encouraging! I feel confident that God has some awesome experiences in store for me, and am praying that He uses me in whatever way He sees fit.

My friend, Ryan shared this encouragement with me, which only heightened my sense of expectation for what God has in store:

He's also the one who has "outfitted" much of my trip, and given me tons of advice. Don't I look like I do this all the time?

One last thing, before I take off from Atlanta... I will very likely be asked to preach on Sunday at the church I will attend. Could I ask you to just pray that God would speak through me clearly and that I wouldn't get in the way? It will be a very different experience, preaching with an interpretor. Should be INTERESTING!

Giddy Up!
